Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to pay the monthly lease amount of Rs.1,60,000/- from the date of issuance of G.O.Ms.No.156, Tourism, Culture & Religious Endowments Department, dated 28.11.2020 together with arrears, to pay a sum of Rs.57,60,000/- as ordered by this Hon'ble Court immediately, further direct the fifth respondent to renovate the temple as per the directions of this Hon'ble Court and direct the ninth respondent to complete the

construction of Collectorate Master Complex at Kallakurichi District by complying with the order of this Hon'ble High Court of Madras in W.P.No.18838 of 2020 and batch dated 30.03.2023 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 20.06.2023. ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.V.Govardhanan, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 4, 7 and 8 and Mr.R.Shunmugasundaram, learned Advocate General, assisted by Mr.N.R.R.Arun Natarajan, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 5 and 6.

2. On the last date, we had recorded the statement of learned Advocate General that a sum of Rs.74,16,000/- (Rupees seventy four lakh and sixteen thousand only) is being paid today.

3. Learned Advocate General submits that the said amount has been paid. It is further submitted that e-tender has been floated for the renovation work and restoration of the Arulmighu Arthanareeswarar Temple, Veeracholapuram, Kallakurichi. The etenders are to be opened on 12.09.2023. The proposed date of agreement is 01.10.2023 and the work is to be completed by 02.12.2024.

3. In view of the above, the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner also sought construction of the Collectorate.

5. It is for the Government to consider the said fact and take

decision accordingly.

6. The writ petition is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs.
