PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the respondent herein viz., the Inspector of Police, J1, Adyar Police Station, Chennai not to harass the petitioner herein unnecessarily any longer in future at the instance and instigation of the 2nd respondent herein on the pretext of some enquiry based on the complaint given against her which was forwarded to the 2nd respondent police by the commissioner of Police, Guindy, Chennai. ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the respondent herein viz., the Inspector of Police, J1, Adyar Police Station, Chennai, not to harass the petitioner unnecessarily.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that false complaint has been lodged against the petitioner and under the guise of enquiry, the petitioner was earlier harassed, for which, she filed Crl.O.P.No.18529 of 2020 and this Court disposed of the petition, since no complaint was pending. Now, again the petitioner is called for enquiry.

3.Further, the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that one Indira had lodged a complaint against the petitioner on 01.09.2021 before the Commissioner of Police, which has been forwarded to J-5 Sasthri Nagar Police Station, on 15.09.2021. Immediately, the petitioner approached this Court and the petitioner has been constantly following the complaint. The petitioner is yet to be summoned. Before that in anticipation, the petitioner has filed the above petition, making allegations that she has been unnecessarily harassed. 4.Considering that the complaint itself had reached J-5 Sasthri Nagar Police Station only on 15.09.2021 and this petition has been filed on 08.09.202, this Court finds that the petitioner seems to be well aware about the complaint. The petitioner is directed to appear before J-5, Sasthri Nagar Police Station, on 23.09.2021 and thereafter and cooperate for the enquiry.

5.With the above direction, the criminal original petition is disposed of.
