This Original Petition has been filed under Section 372 of the Indian Succession Act XXXIX, 1925 read with Order XXV Rule 6 of the Madras High Court Original Side Rules, to grant succession certificate to the petitioners with power to collect debts and to receive interest specified in the schedule.

2.The petitioners are the only legal heirs of the deceased A.Lakshmana Chetty and seeks succession certificate in respect of the assets left by the deceased.

3.The second petitioner has examined himself as P.W.1 and marked 6 documents as Exs-P.1 to P.6. The document viz., Ex-P.1 is the computer generated death certificate of the deceased; Ex-P.2 is the computer generated death certificate of the mother of the petitioners; Exs-P.3 and P.4 are the legal heir certificates of the parents of the petitioners; Ex-P.5 is filed to 1/3

prove the assets left by the deceased; Ex-P.6 is the paper publication. None has objected for grant of succession certificate in favour of the petitioner. 4.Considering the above, the petitioners have established their rights and they are being the Class I legal heirs of the deceased, entitled to succession certificate.

5.Accordingly, this Original Petition is ordered as prayed for and a direction for grant of Succession Certificate in favour of the petitioners with power to collect debts and to receive the interest specified in the schedule, is issued.
