O R D E R

This Contempt Petition has been filed to punish the respondent for non-compliance of the order passed by this Court dated 27.03.2019 in Crl.O.P.No.8135 of 2019, thereby directing the respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No. 464 of 2018 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of the order. 1/3

The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) would submit that the respondent, as directed by this Court, completed the investigation and filed a final report in Crime No. 464 of 2018 for the offences under Section 294(b), 352, 506(i) of IPC as against the accused person as early as on 05.05.2021 itself, before the Judicial Magistrate No.II, Nagapattinam. However, it is pending for taking cognizance. 3.

Considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), the Judicial Magistrate No.II, Nagapattinam, is directed to take cognizance on the final report filed in Crime No.464 of 2018 within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
