The petitioner namely Boopalan, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 30.05.2023 for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(aaa) r/w 4(1-A) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act in Crime No.222 of 2023 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, petitioner is falsely implicated as an accused in Crime No.222 of 2023 for the offences Sections 4(1)(aaa) r/w 4(1-A) of Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act. Petitioner is in judicial custody from 30.05.2023. Thus, he prays for grant of bail.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), opposes this petition, on the ground that, petitioner was found with illegal possession of 110 litres of I.D.Arrack, at about 15.30 hours on 30.05.2023. Petitioner has four previous cases pending against him, out of which two ended in conviction under Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act. Therefore, he strongly opposed this petition.

4. Considering the fact that, petitioner was convicted in two previous cases registered under Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
