ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus directing the respondents to alter the petitioner's date of birth as 11.12.1959 instead of 12.6.1957 in her service records within a stipulated period to be fixed by this Court.
2. Upon notice, the respondents filed a detailed counter affidavit, wherein it is stated that as per Fundamental Rules 49 and 49(a), the petitioner has to apply for alteration of date of birth before the five years of her appointment through the Head of the Department to the Commissioner, Revenue Department, whereas she has made her request after completion of 24 years of service, that too at the fag end of her retirement and hence, the relief sought in this writ petition cannot be considered. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. In the light of the aforesaid averment made in the counter affidavit, the writ petition is liable to be dismissed and is accordingly, dismissed.No costs.
