Sub Application filed under Section 151 of the Code of Civil Procedure praying this Court be pleased to re-open Contempt Petiiton No.2361 of 2018, closed on 20.12.2018, by this Hon'ble Court, for passing appropriate orders.
Contempt Petition filed Under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, praying that this Court be pleased to punish the respondents herein for the wilful diosbedience of the order of this Hon'ble Court, dated 11.08.2017 passed in W.P.No.24540 of 2013.
The above Sub Application coming and Contempt Petitions on this day before this Court for hearing in the presence of Ms.Subhashini, for N.Rajan, learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner herein; and of Mr.C.Selvaraj, Government Advocate appearing for the Respondents herein; and upon reading the Application and the affidavit of G.Johnsi Christobel, filed herein; the Court made the following order: "In Sub.A.(OS)No.486 of 2021, the petitioner seeks re-opening of the Contempt Petition bearing No.2361 of 2018, that was closed on 20.12.2018. In order dated 20.12.2018, this Court has referred to the proceedings of the Director of Collegiate Eduction, Chennai, dated 15.11.2018 to the effect that order of this Court dated 11.08.2017 in WP(MD)No.24540 of 2013 has been fully complied with. Notwithstanding that the order dated 11.08.2017 states that the learned counsel for the petitioner also concurs with the same, it is the case of the petitioner that there are still some components of the order that remain outstanding or due.
2. Mr.C.Selvaraj, learned Government Advocate for the State
would fairly agree with the statement of the learned counsel for the petitioner in this regard. Thus, Sub.A.(OS)No.486 of 2021 is ordered. Contempt Petition No.2361 of 2018 closed on 20.12.2018, stands revived and will be listed for hearing on 29.10.2021. Let the needful be done to effect full compliance of order dated 11.08.2017 by then." WITNESS THE HON'BLE MR.
