Respondents Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to conduct verification of certificate for the post of Post Graduate Assisant (Economics) in pursuance of the examination conducted on 21.07.2013 and consequent by select/appoint the petitioner as a Post Graduate (Assistant) Teacher (Economics).

O R D E R

The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents to conduct certificate verification for the post of Post Graduate Assistant (Economics) in pursuance of the examination conducted on 21.07.2013.

2. The writ petitioner pursuant to the Notification for recruitment to the post of P.G. Assistant for the year 2013 participated in the process of selection. The petitioner scored 97% marks in the examination. The cut off mark prescribed for B.C. Candidate was 98% marks. Therefore, the petitioner was not selected.

3. The petitioner came to know that the examination itself was challenged before the High Court in WP No.29347 of 2013 on the ground that certain questions were erroneously formulated. Thereafter, the process of revaluation was conducted and the petitioner states that she scored 98% marks thereafter. Therefore, the petitioner claims that she must be called for certificate verification.

4. Admittedly, the petitioner was not a party to the writ proceedings in WP No.29347 of 2013. That apart, the petitioner participated in the process of selection of the year 2013 and almost 9 years lapsed. The process of selection was concluded long back and at this length of time, the direction as such sought for to permit the petitioner for certificate verification, cannot be issued and consequently, the writ petition stands dismissed. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are also dismissed.
