ORDER
The petitioner has filed this Criminal Original Petition to call for the records relating to the FIR in Crime No.2 of 2013 pending on the file of the first respondent police and quash the same.
2. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that in the case in Crime No.2 of 2013, after completion of investigation, charge sheet was filed before the learned XV Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai and the same was taken on file as CC No.696 of 2014. He further submitted that pending trial, the petitioner herein along with other accused, has challenged the said case by filing a petition in Crl.O.P.No.6435 of 2016, which was, after hearing both sides and upon perusal of the records, allowed and the criminal proceedings in CC.No.696 of 2014 was quashed, by https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
order of this Court dated 23.03.2016.
3. Recording the submission so made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed.
