law websites to redact the name and to prevent others from displaying the petitioner/respondent viz., XXXXXXX.

2. Heard Mr.K.Subbu Ranga Bharathi, learned counsel for the petitioner in CMP. No.13238 of 2025 & respondent in CMP. No.13372 of 2025 and Mr.R.Siddarth, learned counsel for the petitioner in CMP. No.13372 of 2025.

3. Both the learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the CRP. No.4073 of 2023 was disposed of by a very detailed order passed by this Court on 31.01.2025 and CRP. No.4804 of 2023 was also disposed of by this Court on 20.12.2023. The learned counsel would state that since elaborate directions have been given as regards the procedures to be adopted by the Family Courts in matrimonial proceedings, wide publicity is been given to the said orders. However, the name of the petitioner in the respective petitions is also being unnecessarily published across various websites and search engines. Therefore, the petitioner has now come forward with the present Applications seeking to redact the names from the 3/6

respective orders passed in the revision petitions and to consequently, in the websites of this Hon'ble Court and also redact from search engines like google search and other Internet sources such as case mine, Indian Kanoon websites and other legal websites and thereby prevent others from displaying the petitioner's name.

4. The learned counsel would invite my attention to the order of the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court in W.A. (MD) No.1901 of 2021, in the case of Karthick Theodore Vs. The Registrar General, Madras High Court, Chennai, dated 27.02.2024, where the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court issued similar directions to redact the name and details of the writ petitioner relating to his identity from the judgment in Criminal Appeal and to ensure that only redacted judgment available for publication or for uploading, making it clear that the full and unredacted version of the judgement shall continue to be part of the record of the Court. Placing reliance on the said judgment of the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court, the petitioner prayed for similar relief.

Having gone through the affidavit seeking redaction of the petitioner/respondent name, having heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, each of the petitioners having no objection for the relief as prayed to be granted in both CMPs, I am inclined to allow the above Civil Miscellaneous Petitions.

6. Consequently, the Registry is directed to redact the name of the Petitioner/1st Petitioner-XXXXXXX, in the order dated 20.12.2023 passed in C.R.P. (PD) No.4804 of 2023 and similarly, redact the name of the Petitioner/Respondent-XXXXXXX, order dated 31.01.2025 passed in C.R.P. (PD) No.4073 of 2024 in the website of this Court and to direct the google search engine and other Internet sources such as Case mine and Indian Kanoon websites and other legal websites to redact the name of the parties by publishing the orders of this Court. 5/6

7. Though the Applications restricted to the name of the petitioner/ first petitioner/respondent XXXXXXX's name, in the interest of justice, redact the name of the petitioner XXXXXXX also. Hence, the direction is issued in respect of both the petitions, though not specifically prayed for in the above order dated 31.01.2025 passed in C.R.P. (PD) No.4073 of 2024.

8. With the above directions, these Civil Miscellaneous Petitions are allowed.
