The petitioner, apprehends arrest for the alleged offence under Section 4(1) c, 4(1)(A) of the TNP Act, in Crime No.178 of 2025, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 96 bottles of liquor each containing 180 ml. Hence, the complaint.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a coolie and he has been falsely implicated in this case only for statistical purpose. However, on instructions, the learned counsel further submits that the petitioner is ready and willing to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court and hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the petitioner is involved in three previous cases which are of a similar nature. Hence, he opposed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also the antecedents of the petitioner are reported to be bad, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
