..Respondent(s) PRAYER: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first and second respondent to cancel the Planning Permission and Building Approval of the 3rd respondent property comprised in Block No.192, Ward 1, Velachery (Part 2) Town, Velachery Taluk, T.S.No.8, Old S.No.332/9PT by considering the petitioner's representation dated 11.04.2026 within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Chennai Corporation.

2. The petitioner is aggrieved by the planning permission and building approval granted by the second respondent in favour of the third respondent.

3. The first respondent is the authority competent to consider the petitioner's request for cancellation of the planning permission and building approval. I direct the first respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 11.04.2026, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity to respondents 3 and 4. The entire exercise shall be completed within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. 20-05-2026 Asi / Ssk
