Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to depute a Taluk Surveyor to measure the lands comprised in S.No.383/8, Madipakkam-B Village, Sholinganallur Taluk, Kancheepuram District and lay the necessary boundary stone within the time stipulated. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner had purchased an extent of 46 cents of land in S.No.383/8, S.Kolathur Village, Sholinganallur Taluk from one Mrs.Chandrakumari through registered Sale Deed dated 15.07.1996. The petitioner would further that some third parties had started interfering with the petitioner's peaceful possession and enjoyment and therefore, he has approached the second respondent, praying for surveying and measuring the land, in the form of representation and also paid necessary fees, vide challans dated 04.12.2014 and 20.03.2015 and despite the fact that payments have been made as early as on 04.12.2014 and 20.03.2015, the second respondent is yet to take steps to survey https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

and measure the lands and the petitioner also submitted a reminder in the form of representation dated 02.05.2016 and since no order has been passed on the petitioner's representation, came forward with this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice for the respondents.

This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 02.05.2016, after putting on notice the petitioner and the persons concerned and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as the persons concerned.
