Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to amend the cut off date of birth from 31.05.2014 to 31.07.2015 for getting admission for first standard under 25% quota under Free and Compulsory Education of Right to Education Act in Private Matriculation Schools in the State of Tamil Nadu and to direct the respondents to give admission to the daughter of the petitioner namely L.Sadhana, in I standard for the academic year 2020-2021 in the sixth respondent school by considering the representation dated
16.10.2020 made by the petitioner within the time to be stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 5 to amend the cut off date of birth from 31.05.2014 to 31.07.2015 in order to enable the petitioner's daughter to get an admission in the sixth respondent school under 25% Quota reserved under the Free and Compulsory Education of Right to Education Act,2009.
2. Heard Mr.R.Chandrasekaran, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr,C.Munuswamy, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of respondents 1 to 5.
3. In the considered view of this Court, this Court cannot exercise its jurisdiction under Article 226 of Constitution of India and give positive directions to amend the cut off date of birth that has been fixed by the respondents. These are all administrative decisions which are taken by considering the overall facts of the case. The rule cannot be amended just for the sake of the petitioner. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to entertain this Writ Petition and accordingly, the same is dismissed. No costs.
