promotion to the post of Selection Grade in the Category of Head Constable (i.e. Special Sub Inspectors (SSI)) granted to batch mates and Juniors to the Petitioner by regularizing the suspension period between 06.02.2014 and 20.12.2022 by treating those periods as spent on duty for all practical purpose taking into the consideration of the fact that the criminal case registered against the petitioner was ended in acquittal by the Chief Judicial Magistrate/Special Judge Special Court for Prevention of Corruption Act Case at Villupuram by judgment dated 28.07.2022 in Special Case No.04/2015. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for direction directing the respondent Nos. 1 to 4 to consider the representation dated 15.05.2023 and 25.06.2024 submitted by the petitioner and thereby direct to grant all monetary benefits including pay fixation and arrears of pay / salary for the suspension period between 06.02.2014 and 20.12.2022 and non monetary benefits including seniority and promotion to the post of Selection Grade in the Category of Head Constable (i.e. Special Sub Inspectors (SSI)) granted to batch mates and Juniors to the Petitioner by regularizing the suspension period between 06.02.2014 and 20.12.2022 by treating those periods as spent on duty for all practical purpose taking into the consideration of the fact that the criminal case registered against the petitioner was ended in acquittal by the Chief Judicial

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ petition, the third respondent is directed to consider the representations submitted by the petitioner dated 15.05.2023 and 25.06.2024 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
