ORDER
This writ petition has been filed, directing the 1st respondent Electricity Board to effect residential electricity service connection to the petitioner residential house under Tariff -1A situated at Site No 50, S.F. No 165, Thiruvenkadangar, Nallur Village, Tiruppur District, based on his application dated 20.06.2024, without insisting NOC from the 2nd respondent. 2.The case of the petitioner is that he purchased a property in Site No.50, S.F.No.165, Thiruvenkadanagar, Nallur Village, Tiruppur District, measuring an extent of 1200 sq.ft. from one Malaiyammal and K.P.Palanisamy Jayanthi through an unregistered sale deed dated 26.02.2020. Thereafter, the petitioner made an online application on 20.06.2024, for an electricity service connection to his residential house along with the necessary documents.
However, the 1st respondent failed to effect service connection. Immediately, the petitioner approached the 1st respondent and requested him to effect service connection. However, the 1st respondent orally replied that the land belongs to the 2nd respondent temple, and directed the petitioner to produce NOC from the 2nd respondent. The petitioner produced the property tax receipts stands in his name, however, the respondent has not considered the same and cancelled his application.
respondent board also effected service connection to the adjacent consumers. Hence the present writ petition has been filed.
3. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that this Court may grant liberty to the petitioner to make a fresh application with the relevant documents, enabling the 1st respondent to pass appropriate orders.
4. In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to make a fresh application to the 1st respondent for effecting electricity service connection with the relevant documents.
