ORDER

[Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the 2nd respondent to produce the petitioner's daughter V.Keerthana, aged about 19 years, before this Court and set her at liberty forthwith.

It is the case of the petitioner that his daughter Keerthana, aged about 19 years, went missing from 23.08.2021 and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

that the police are not taking effective steps to secure her. 3.

On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Karunya Nagar Police Station Crime No.83 of 2021 for 'woman missing' was registered on 31.08.2021 and investigation is in progress.

Recording the same, this habeas corpus petition stands closed with a direction to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Perur, to supervise the investigation in Karunya Nagar Police Station Crime No.83 of 2021 and keep the petitioner informed of the developments, if any. As and when the detenue Keerthana, aged about 19 years, is secured, she shall be produced before the Judicial Magistrate Court No.V, Coimbatore, under intimation to the petitioner. On such production, the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders with regard to custody in accordance with law.
