PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Certiorari, by calling for the proceedings of the 1st respondent in G.O. (D) No.213, dated 08.07.2011, Labour and Employment (L1) Department and quash the same as null and void and consequently direct the 1st respondent to grant an exemption for the marketing unit from the provisions of the Employees State Insurance Act under Section 88 read with Section 91-A in respect of the petitioner's proposal in Letter No.3003/Z1/2008 dated 15.12.2010. ORDER

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the prayer sought for in the present writ petition has become infructuous, since the Government through G.O. (D) No.334,

Labour and Employment (L1) Department, dated 23.06.2016, had granted exemption to the petitioner-Federation from the provisions of the Employees State Insurance Act, 1948.
