Prayer:-Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to remove the petitioner's name Mr.G.Baskaran in the Government Order in GO.Ms.No.432 of 2021 dated 02.07.2021 by issue appropriate corrigendum. ORDER

This writ petition is filed for direction directing the respondents 1 to 3 to remove the petitioner's name Mr.G.Baskaran in the Government Order in GO.Ms.No.432 of 2021 dated 02.07.2021 by issuing appropriate corrigendum.

2. The petitioner is the Chairperson and Managing Trustee of M/s.Bhajarang Engineering College. While being so, GO.Ms.No.432 dated 12.07.2021 was passed pertains to adding about the irregularities committed in the process of land acquisition proceedings for the expansion of Chennai to Bangalore National Highway. The petitioner is not concerned with the actions that are sought to be taken as against the Government officials for their acts. The petitioner is M.G.Baskaran has been wrongly mentioned instead of C.Baskar who is arrayed as eleventh accused in the criminal proceedings in Cr.No.12 of 2021 registered for the offences under Sections 120(b), 465, 468, 471, 477(a), 420 r/w 34 of IPC.

3.Mr.J.Subbiah, Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the fifth respondent submitted that as per instruction received from the officials, the petitioner is not an accused and wrongly included as land brokers and mediators to help the Government officials.

4.Considering the above submission, the name of the petitioner in GO.Ms.No.432 of 2021 dated 02.07.2021 is hereby deleted and the fifth respondent is directed to proceed with the criminal proceedings as against the other accused persons in the manner known to law.

5.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No order as to costs.
