This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to file Final Report in E5 Sholavaram P.S.Cr.No.403 of 2016 and to complete the trial.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the Respondent.

3. It is seen that FIR was registered on 11.06.2016 for offences under Section 8 (c), 20(b)(ii)(B) and 29 (1) Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. The Special Court would not have received even the report from the Chemical Examiner.

4. Under such circumstances, no positive direction can be issued to the respondent police to complete the investigation and take action in accordance with law. However, the respondent police is directed to expeditiously conduct the investigation. With the above direction, the criminal original petition is closed.
