Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the concerned records relating to the order dated 30.03.2013 in order No.U.PO/E & P/Oragadam/Thatu/31 passed by the respondent and quash the same and cosequently direct the respondent to grant of electricity connection to the petitioner his plot Block No.7, Ward - D, T.S.No.6, R.S.No.440/2A1A in Thirumullaivayal.

The relief sought for in this writ petition is to quash the order dated 30.03.2013, in relation to the claim of the writ petitioner to provide electricity connection in the residence of the writ petitioner.

The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the writ petitioner made a submission that during the pendency of the writ petition, the case of the writ petitioner was considered by the respondent/Board and electricity service connection was provided to the writ petitioner's premises on 07.02.2017. However during the month of May 2017, the writ petitioner had not paid the electricity consumption charges and accordingly, the disconnection was effected by the competent authority and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
thereafter he paid the consumption charges in January 2018. Thus, the electricity connection was restored in favour of the writ petitioner by the authorities. Once again, the writ petitioner has committed default in payment of electricity consumption charges and thereafter, the electricity consumption charges were not paid from the month of March 2018 and thereafter on May 2018, electricity connection was again disconnected.
3. The relief sought for in this writ petition is to provide electricity connection was considered by the respondents and in fact, the electricity connection was provided on 07.02.2017 itself. The cause aroused for filing of the present writ petition has become vanished. Therefore, subsequent non payment of electricity consumption charges is in no way connected nor to be adjudicated in the present writ petition. Thus, it is left open to the writ petitioner to deposit the entire consumption charges due to the respondents / Board and thereafter make a request to provide electricity connection in accordance with law.
4. The writ petition stands disposed of with the above observation. No costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
