ORDER

The learned Government Advocate, on instructions, submitted that pursuant to the orders passed by this Court, the complaint given by the petitioner was inquired into and, on inquiry, the respondent police found that no case was made out by the petitioner; accordingly, the complaint was closed and Closure Report has also been placed before this Court.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the respondent police did not conduct a proper inquiry in this case and, therefore, the very Closure Report itself has been prepared only to report compliance before this Court.

3. This Court, in exercise of its contempt jurisdiction, cannot go into the issue as to whether the respondent police have properly conducted the inquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner. If the petitioner is aggrieved by the closure of the complaint, he has to work out the remedy only in accordance with law and no orders can be passed in this Contempt Petition in that regard.

4. In view of the above, this Contempt Petition is closed. No costs.
