PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, pleased to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, call for the records regarding the rejection order by the respondent dated 22.06.2023 and quash the same, consequential direct the respondent to permission given the petitioner conduct cultural program on 29.06.2023 at Bethur Village, Saamundeeswariamman Thirukoil Thiruvizha, Tiruppattur District based on the petitioner's representation dated 22.06.2023. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed calling for all records regarding the rejection order passed by the respondent dated 22.06.2023 and quash the same and consequently direct the respondent to give permission to the petitioner to conduct cultural program on 29.06.2023 at Bethur Village, Saamundeeswariamman Thirukoil Thiruvizha, Tiruppattur District, based on the petitioner's representation dated 22.06.2023.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner submitted a representation dated 22.06.2023 to the respondent, seeking permission for organizing Adal Padal event of Bethur Village, Saamundeeswariamman Thirukoil Thiruvizha, Tiruppattur District, on 29.06.2023. The said representation was rejected. Challenging the said order, this petition is filed.

3. In response, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that the permission was rejected for the reason that on the same day another community people had organized Adal Padal event at Mariyamman Temple in the same village.

4. Considering the reasons stated, the rejection order passed by the respondent cannot be interfered by this Court.

5. Accordingly, this Writ petition stands dismissed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.

6. If the petitioner deems fit, he may file a fresh representation for conducting Adal Padal program on a different date. If such representation is submitted, the respondent Police is directed to consider the representation, in the light of the circulars issued by the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, in Rc.007301/Genl.I(1)/2019, dated 09.04.2019 and in Rc.03316/General.I(1)/2023, dated 01.06.2023 and pass appropriate orders. 27.06.2023 Index :Yes/No Internet :Yes/No mn
