ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to promote the petitioners to the post of Sanitary Maistry GradeII/Lower Division Clerk against the existing vacancies under the promotion quota provided for the Group 'D' employees as per the recruitment rules. 2.When the writ petition was taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate appearing produced the proceedings of the respondent in No.PM/Estt./1-74/A3/2018 dated 05.02.2019 and No.PM/Estt./1-74/A3/2019 dated 29.11.2019, to show that the petitioners 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6 were already promoted. Thereby, the purpose for which this writ petition is filed, has been fulfilled, though belatedly here, the cause does not survive to the petitioner to prosecute the writ petition.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner is also present and he has taken a copy of the same and reported that the same is recorded. 4.In view of the above submissions made by both sides, and on considering the proceedings of the respondent in No.PM/Estt./1-74/A3/2018 dated 05.02.2019 and No.PM/Estt./1-74/A3/2019 dated 29.11.2019, this writ petition has become infructous.
