This petition has been filed for a direction to the 1st respondent to conduct further investigation in Crime No.509 of 2019 by sending the disputed documents for expert opinion. 2.
Heard Mr.C.Sivanesan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of respondents. 3.
The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that the 1st respondent has already called upon the Defacto complainant to furnish the original documents in order to get the expert opinion and that till date there has been no co2/5
operation on the side of the defacto complainant. In view of the same, the 1st respondent is not in a position to make any progress in the investigation.

In the considered view of this Court, the FIR has been registered in the year 2019 and till date, the final report has not been filed. As a last chance, the investigation officer shall send a notice to the defacto complainant seeking for the original documents in order to get the expert opinion. If no co-operation is forth coming, it is left open to the investigation officer to complete the investigation and file a final report or the closure report as the case may be. In any event, the investigation shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
