ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by S.S.SUNDAR, J.,] (1)The present writ petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.04.2024 within a stipulated time frame. (2)Mr.K.Karthik Jagannath, learned Government Advocate accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

(3)Earlier, pursuant to the order passed by this Court in a writ petition filed by the petitioner in WP.No.31168/2017, it is now admitted that encroachment in the water body is fully removed. The petitioner who acknowledges the same, has filed the present writ petition after making a representation that the respondents should remove the debris and other waste materials dumped in the water body so that the entire extent of Mulla Eri will be preserved as water body.

(4)The contention of the petitioner in the representation has been acknowledged by the Revenue Tahsildar, vide proceedings dated

30.04.2024. Having regard to the limited scope of prayer in the writ petition, this Court is of the view that a direction can be issued to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.04.2024. (5)Accordingly, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 26.04.2024 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner herein.
