O R D E R

On a complaint given by one Jayasudha to the All Women Police Station, Villiyanur, Puducherry, the Station House Officer caused summons to the petitioner herein to appear before him on 26.06.2024 for enquiry. The petitioner instead of participating in the enquiry, has sent the representation and also before this court alleging that the police is harassing him. By causing some complaint of Jayasudha indicates that the petitioner had married her in a temple and lived with her for 15 days and thereafter deserted her demanding dowry.

2. The averments is totally denied by the petitioner in his representation. Whether the averments made in the complaint is true or false, has to be investigated by the police in the manner known to law. The petitioner cannot abstain himself from participating in the enquiry citing some lame excuses. Hence, this petition is dismissed.

3. The petitioner is directed to appear before the Investigation Officer/respondent police on 10.07.2024. On his participation, the respondent police shall investigate the matter in accordance with law and 2/4

proceed.
