PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to cancel the building permission and building approval which was granted to the building situated in respect of land measuring in 0.17 cents in Survey No.269/3 of Mudichur Village, Formerly Saidapet Taluk, Presently Tamabaram Taluk, Formerly Kancheepuram District, presently Chengalpet District and also not to grant Completion Certificate by considering the petitioner's representation dated 20.03.2026. O R D E R

Heard Mr.A.Ilayaperumal, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.L.S.M.Hasan Fizal, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first respondent / Tambaram Municipal Corporation.

2. The petitioner complaints that the building permission and approval granted in favour of the private respondents by the local body is liable to be cancelled. The petitioner has given a representation dated 20.03.2026 in this regard. The first respondent is directed to dispose of the petitioner's

representation on merits and in accordance with law after putting the interested persons on notice. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. The defences of the private respondents have not been foreclosed. The only direction that has now been given is that the first respondent shall dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 20.03.2026 that is now pending. This exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
