Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records of the respondents pertaining to cancellation of the Family Card in Ref. 01/G/0529808 for the period 2005-2009 alleged to be cancelled on 20.01.2014 and quash the same and any other appropriate writ or order or direction directing the respondents to distribute the civil supply items to the petitioner and his family members.

The petitioner moved the present Writ Petition questioning the validity of the cancellation of the Family Card https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

which was granted for the period 2005 - 2009. However, the validity period has expired and a new system has been implemented for the grant of Family Cards. Now digital cards are issued and therefore, the petitioner has to submit an application with all relevant records for grant of a fresh Family Card by following the procedures as contemplated.

2. The petitioner is at liberty to submit an application for grant of Family Card, if he is otherwise eligible under the regulations. In the event of filing any such application, the competent authority shall consider the same on merits and in accordance with law.

3. With this liberty, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
