The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences under Sections 147, 148, 448, 294 (b) and 307 IPC in Crime No.12 of 2023, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that petitioner is an accused in Crime No.12 of 2023, registered for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 448, 294 (b) and 307 IPC, on the file of the respondent police. He further submitted that the case was registered against the petitioner due to previous enmity. The incident as alleged in the FIR has not happened at all. Only to harass the petitioner and the other accused, FIR was registered. Therefore this petition.

3. In response, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) submitted that defacto complainant's husband and son were murdered by petitioner in 2019. Petitioner has two similar cases registered under Section 302 IPC pending against him. Investigation in this case is

pending and prayed for dismissal of this petition. 4.Considered the rival submissions and perused the records. 5.It is seen from the FIR allegations that defacto complainant's husband and son were murdered by the accused. She came to know that someone planned to murder Maheshkumar. On 13.01.2023, at about 9a.m., accused in this case came to her house with dangerous weapons like Veecharuval and wooden log. Maheskumar S/o. Kamaraj, Parthiban S/o. Kumar, Chandrasekar S/o. Selvaraj, Saravanan S/o. Rajendran, tried to attack her with Veecharuval on her head. She avoided the attack and escaped from the place.

6.Considering the seriousness of the allegations made against the petitioner and the fact that petitioner has two previous cases of similar nature pending against him, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Therefore, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
