ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences under Section 5(1), 5 (J), 5(ii) r/w 6 of POCSO Act, in Crime No.7 of 2020, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that the victim girl is a minor, who is aged about 17 years. The allegation is that the petitioner, on the false promise of marrying the victim girl, had sexual intercourse with her and the victim girl gave birth to a child and thereafter, the petitioner deserted the victim girl. 3. Therefore, considering the above submission and there is no representation for the petitioner and a statement under Section 164 of Cr.P.C was recorded from the victim girl, and also considering the serious nature of the offence, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. The respondent police is directed to secure the petitioner and complete the investigation within a period of three months and file a charge sheet before the concerned Court and file a compliance report before this Court.
