O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeking a direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 20.03.2023 and pass final orders.

2. According to the petitioner, he is carrying on business in a Shop situated in Allikulam Complex of the respondent Corporation. The petitioner was allotted a land with an extent of 80 sq.ft in the above said complex for construction of shop. The petitioner had taken possession of the land in October 2020 and thereafter, constructed his own shop. Now, the petitioner is running his business in the shop constructed by him. However, the rent for occupation of the site was not fixed by the respondent Corporation sofar. If the rent is not fixed immediately, there will be accumulation of arrears 2/4

of rent and it will be a burden to the small vendor like him. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation to the respondents on 20.03.2023 seeking fixation of rent as early as possible. The said representation has not been considered by the respondents. Therefore, the petitioner has come before this Court with the above Writ Petition.

3. Mrs.P.T.Ramadevi, learned Standing Counsel (GCC) takes notice for the respondents.

4. The learned Standing Counsel on instructions submitted that the representation of the petitioner will be considered and orders will be passed as directed by the Court within the time frame.

5. In view of the limited prayer made in this Writ Petition, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.03.2023 within a period of four weeks from today and pass orders on merits in accordance with law.
