ORDER

This writ petition has been filed challenging the impugned online refusal order of the respondent dated 25.11.2023 and for a consequential direction to the respondent to grant domestic electricity connection to the house of the petitioner.

2.Heard Mr.P.Dinesh Kumar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.L.Jai Venkatesh, learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent.

3.The petitioner is claiming right and title over the subject property by virtue of a registered Sale Deed dated 12.07.1956, wherein, the property stood in the name of the mother of the petitioner. Thereafter, the house was

3/6 constructed and receipts were given on payment of the house tax. In the 'A' Register, the property is being shown as a grama natham. The petitioner submitted an online application for domestic electricity connection on 15.07.2023. The same came to be rejected by the online order dated 25.11.2023. Aggrieved by the same, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

4.When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent produced the written instructions received from the respondent. On going through the same, it is seen that the petitioner did not annex the title deed through which he was claiming right and title over the property. That apart, the petitioner also did not pay the application charges. Therefore, the application was rejected. 5.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that if the petitioner fulfils all the requirements and submit a fresh application, the same will be considered by the respondent.

4/6 6.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court which shows that there is a title deed to the property and the property is in possession of the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the petitioner to submit a fresh application along with all the relevant particulars and documents and also pay the application charges and on receipt of the same, the respondent shall consider effecting domestic electricity service connection to the house of the petitioner. This process shall be completed, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the fresh application from the petitioner.
