..Respondent(s) PRAYER: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus calling for the records in impugned order dated 09.04.2026 in Application No.2026/ 0103/ 08/ 022107 on the file of 5th respondent and quash the same and direct the respondents to transfer the joint patta in favour of the petitioner for the property admeasuring to an extent of 0.24 1/4 acres along with RCC building comprised in Survey No.206/6A situated at kanjanaickenpatty village, Kadayampatti Taluk, Salem District based on the registered Sale Certificate dated 22.12.2025 registered as Document No.639/ 2026 on the file of the SRO, Kadayampatti and grant such other relief may deem fit and proper under the circumstances of the case.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

2. The petitioner had purchased the petition mentioned property on 22.12.2025. The petitioner had applied to the fifth respondent for mutation of revenue records. Vide memorandum dated 09.04.2026, the request was negatived.

3. I have gone through the memorandum. No reason has been set out for such refusal. There is complete non-application of mind on the part of the fifth respondent. Therefore, the impugned order is quashed. The fifth respondent is directed to pass orders on the application of the writ petitioner afresh, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands allowed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. 20-05-2026 Asi / Ssk To
