O R D E R

Heard Mr.J.Titus Enock, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.M.Murali, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the first respondent and Mr.M.Rajamathivanan, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the second respondent.

2. The writ petitioner is a shop keeper and is occupying one of the shops belonging to Municipal Corporation in Gani Market. He is aggrieved by utilisation of the Open Space Reserve area in the market for commercial purposes. He has given a representation dated 11.05.2026 to the Municipal Corporation calling upon the Commissioner to remove the plywood shops put up in the Open Space Reserve region. The Open Space Reserve Area cannot be used for any commercial purpose. The second respondent therefore, is directed to dispose of the petitioner's representation and take appropriate action as per law. This shall be done within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
