This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody through PT warrant on 17.04.2024, seeking bail in Crime No.98 of 2024 registered for the offence under Sections 341, 294(b), 392, 397 and 506(ii) of IPC.
2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and a false case has been foisted against him for statistical purpose. He further submitted that the petitioner, who is no way connected with the alleged offence, has been suffering incarceration from 17.04.2024. He also submitted that the detention order passed against the petitioner has also been revoked by the Advisory Board and now he is ready to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed to grant bail to the petitioner.
3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police objected for granting bail stating that, the petitioner had waylaid the de facto complainant, abused him in filthy language and robbed a sum of Rs.3000/- from him at knife point.

He further submitted that the case is under investigation and the petitioner is a 'A' Category history sheeter having several previous cases including the cases registered under Sections 302 & 307 IPC. Therefore, if he is released on bail, there is every possibility of him absconding and threaten the witnesses.
5. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of this case and the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side and taking note of the fact that the investigation is at initial stage and also considering the antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
