Village Fort Tondiarpet, ZoneII, Division-25, Madras District. For Petitioner : Mr.V.Bhiman For Respondents : Mr.R.S.Selvam, G.A.

O R D E R

The petitioner has approached this Court seeking the following relief:

"Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to issue a patta for 322 1/2 sq.ft. with regard to the land in New door No.17, Ponniamman Koil Street, Old Door No.50, Thiappa Mudali Street, George Town, Chennai - 600 001, comprised in O.S.Nos.7437 and 7438 R.S.No.2186 / 4 Block 18, C.C.No.3761, George Town, V.O.C. Village Fort Tondiarpet, Zone-II, Division-25, Madras District."

2. Upon notice, Mr.R.S.Selvam, learned Government Advocate entered appearance for the respondent and filed counter affidavit. Paragraph 11 of the counter affidavit states that subsequent to the filing of the writ petition, the writ petitioner sold the said property to the 3rd party by way of sale deed, registered as Document No.496 of 2016 on 28.04.2016 and patta was also issued to the buyer, vide proceeding in https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

R.Dis.TR/704/16, dated 19.06.2016. Therefore, the prayer in the writ petition has become infructuous. Recording the same, the writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. No costs.
