When the matter is taken up for hearing today, learned counsel for the writ petitioner contended that subsequent to the filing of the present writ petition the dispute between the petitioner Management and the respondents 2 & 3 have been amicably settled. In fact, the first respondent, Assistant Commissioner of Labour, Cuddalore in his counter affidavit had stated thus :

"I humbly submit that this petition has become infructuous as the industrial dispute raised by the second respondent under Section 2(k) of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (hereinafter I.D. Act, 1947) was withdrawn from the file of the first respondent as the matter was settled amicably between the petitioner's Management and the second respondent on 04.10.2019."

2.Recording the submissions of the learned counsel for the writ petitioner the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs.
