O R D E R

This petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation and file a final report.

2.It is seen from records that earlier the investigation was pending before the second respondent. A petition came to be filed before the Madurai Bench of this Court to transfer the investigation to some other agency. This Court by an order dated 24.08.2017, made in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.9513 of 2017 directed the investigation to be transfered to the first respondent and a further direction was given to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of three months. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.The grievance of the petitioner is that even though the investigation was transferred to the file of the first respondent, till date the investigation has not been completed and no final report has been filed.

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the first respondent is in the process of investigation and there are some unknown accused persons who will have to be identified and therefore some more time must be granted to the first respondent to effectively complete the investigation. 5.Taking into consideration, the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall a direction to the first respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report within a period of six months from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

6.This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
