ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who was arrested on 24.08.2021 and remanded to judicial custody for the offences punishable under Sections 6(4) Tamil Nadu Schedule Commodities (Regulation of Distribution Through Card System) order 1982 r/w. Section 7(1)(a)ii of the Essential Commodities Act 1955, in Crime Nos.30 of 2019, 68 of 2020, 119 of 2021, 35 of 2021, 51 of 2019, on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of PDS rice. Hence, the complaint. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He further submitted that the petitioner has been in jail from 24.08.2021. He would further submit that he is ready to abide by any stringent condition that may be imposed by this Court. for grant of bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) on instructions submitted that the petitioner is a habitual offender and a proposal has been sent to the Government to detain the petitioner under the Goondas Act. He further submitted that there are six previous cases pending against the petitioner. Hence, he vehemently opposed for grant of bail to the petitioner.

5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also the fact that there are six previous cases pending as against the petitioner and petitioner has involved in very serious offence, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. 6.Accordingly, these Criminal Original Petitions are dismissed. -sd/- 17/09/2021 This order, on being produced, be punctually observed and carried into execution by all concerned TRUE COPY Sub-Assistant Registrar (Statistics/C.S.)
