Heard Mr.M.Vijay, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Murali, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

2. The writ petitioner is an incorporated Company. They submitted an application before the respondent under the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act, 1994. The petitioner wants to set up a scan centre. It appears that a share holder, who is none other than the daughter of the deponent of the affidavit, has raised some objections, on the

ground that the respondent cannot decline to dispose of the application. If the writ petitioner's application is in consonance with the provisions of the PCPNDT Act, licence has to be necessarily issued. Therefore, I direct the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's application on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. I have not gone into the merits of the matter.

3. This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
