Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.06.2014 within the time frame as fixed by this Honourable Court. The present writ petition was listed for final disposal on 17.04.2023 but none appeared for the petitioner on that day. In order to give further opportunity, the writ petition was again listed on 19.04.2023, i.e., today, and when the matter is taken up for final hearing, again there is no representation on behalf of the writ petitioner. 2.The relief sought in the present writ petition is to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.06.2014. Perusal of the representation submitted by the petitioner reveals that he claimed drought relief compensation from the District Collector. The drought relief was claimed on the ground that the petitioner was an agriculturist and he could not irrigate the land. Under those circumstances, the representation was submitted seeking drought relief .

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader brought to the notice of this Court that as per the revenue records, the father of the writ petitioner had already received the drought relief from the Government. 2/4

4.That being the case, the case of the petitioner cannot be considered and accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. (sha) 19.04.2023 Index : Yes Speaking Order To The District Collector, O/o.District Collector, Erode District.
