Mrs.S.Anitha Special Government Pleader [For R1] COMMON ORDER The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the writ petitioner mainly contended that the order of punishment imposed on the petitioner are under challenge in the present writ petitions. Minor punishment was imposed. However, after passing the impugned orders of punishment, the District Collector has regulated the period of leave and issued consequential proceedings. In view of the said consequential proceedings issued by the District Collector, the petitioner may be granted with a liberty to file an appeal before the Appellate Authority for the purpose of redressal of his grievances.

2. Submitting the same, the learned counsel for the petitioner has chosen to withdraw the writ petitions with a liberty to prefer an appeal to the Head of the Department. He has also made an endorsement to that effect.

3. Accordingly, the writ petitioner is permitted to withdraw the writ petitions with a liberty to prefer an appeal before the Appellate Authority. In the event of filing any appeal before the Appellate Authority by the writ petitioner, the Appellate authority shall consider the same on merits and in accordance with law and take a decision as expeditiously as possible.

4. With this liberty, all the writ petitions stand dismissed as withdrawn. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
