PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. to direct the respondent to file final report in Crime No.343 of 2021 on the file of the SHO, N.P.Petral Police Station, Gingee Taluk, Villupuram District.

O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the respondent to file final report in Crime No.343 of 2021 on the file of the SHO, N.P.Petral Police Station, Gingee Taluk, Villupuram District.

2.The learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] submits that in this case FIR has been registered on 03.07.2021, for the offence under Sections 294(b), 279, 324 and 506(1) IPC. He further submitted that maximum punishment period for the offence under Sections 324 IPC is three years and 506(1) IPC is seven years. In this case, investigation is in progress and the limitation period is not over, even before that the petitioner has filed this Criminal Original Petition.

3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing on behalf of the respondent police.

4.Considering the submissions and on perusal of the materials, this Court directs the respondent police to give priority to this case and conduct the investigation as early as possible.

5.With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
