ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.B.Janakiram, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.Karthik Jegannath, learned Government Advocate, for respondents 1 to 5.

2. Learned Government Advocate, on instructions, submits that the Revenue Divisional Officer, Panruti, has cancelled the patta, and the land is restored to the temple.

3. It is submitted that the settlement deed is also cancelled by the parties concerned.

4. In light of that, the purpose of the writ petition stands served. The writ petition is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs. (S.V.G., CJ.)
