This writ petition has been filed seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the 2nd respondent from passing the detention order under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982 against the petitioner's husband namely Devaraj Son of Muthusamy, aged about 45 years, confined at Sub-Jail, Kallakurichi, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 20.06.2018 in accordance with law.

2. Today, Mr.N.Mani, SSI, Thiyagadurugam Police Station, Villupuram District, is present before this Court.
3. A direction to the respondent not to detain the petitioner's husband under the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982, cannot be issued, even in exercise of the constitutional powers under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.
In the result, this petition is dismissed.
