This Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the petitioner to quash the impugned show cause notice in M.C.No.unnumbered of 2025 dated 14.02.2025 on the file of the District Munsif, Sriperumbudur/respondent herein.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the respondent suo-motto issued show cause notice dated 14.02.2025 under Section 384(1) of BNSS for taking cognizance of offence under Section 267 of BNS and the said show cause notice was duly served on 17.02.2025 at about 10.58 hrs. in the open Court by the respondent through Bench Clerk, calling for explanation within three days i.e. 19.02.2025 stating that the petitioner intentionally insulted the Court and the Presiding Officer when she was sitting in Judicial Proceedings and interrupted the Court proceedings in the presence of the Court Staff, learned Advocates and the litigants. Hence, challenging the same, the present petition is filed.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that no such incident had taken place and the show cause notice has been issued falsely.

4. However, a reading of the show cause notice shows that the Magistrate has clearly given reasons for issuing the said show cause notice. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to entertain this petition.

5. The petitioner is directed to appear before the respondent and give reply to the show cause notice.

6. With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed at the admission stage itself. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
