ORDER

This petition has been filed by the petitioner praying this Court to punish the respondents herein for contempt of Court, for having not obeyed and also for having acted in total disregard and in flagrant violation of the order dated 23.01.2015 passed by this Court in W.P.No.31296 of 2014.

2. When the matter was taken up, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent produced a status report, wherein in Para No.10 it has been stated as follows:

"10. It is respectfully submitted that there is no truth in the allegation of the petitioners that the subordinates of the Respondents 1 to 3 indulged in the activities mentioned in the affidavit. Moreover, a suit filed in this regard by the 2nd petitioner in O.S.No.48 of 2014 on the file of the Subordinate Judge court at Ponneri is reported to be pending. Actually, the officials of the Respondents 1 to 3 had only measured the said property to demarcate the boundaries of the said land on a request from the Commissioner Milk Production and Milk colony Development Department. No eviction was carried out by the Respondents 1 to 3 as alleged by the petitioners. As such, the question of alleged contempt does not arise in this case. The petitioners are put to strict proof of the same.

3. In view of the above, this Contempt Petition stands closed. 20.10.2022 smn
