The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 and 8 to conduct enquiry against the respondents 2 to 7 and 9 for their illegal activities by adopting method of issuing the patta to their interested persons by taking over the government lands as well as private lands by disposing the petitioner's written representation dated 28.05.2014. 2.
Heard Mr.C.Prakasam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.Richardson Wilson, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 to 8 and Mr.K.Selvaraj, learned counsel appearing for the 9th respondents.
3.
It is seen from the representation dated 28.05.2014, the petitioner seeks direction to initiate departmental enquiry as against the official respondents 2 to 7 and 9 for their illegal activities. It is settled proposition of law that the third party cannot have interest to initiate departmental proceedings as against the governmental officials. Therefore, the direction sought for in this writ petition cannot be granted and the writ petition is devoid of merits.
4.
Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
