This Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondent to consider her representation dated 20.05.2014 seeking family pension on the demise of her father.

2. The petitioner's father worked with the respondent Port Trust as duty doctor. After the death of her mother, the petitioner's father married another person. After attaining superannuation, petitioner's father died on 07.01.2010. Meanwhile, the petitioner's husband also died on 28.02.2012. Hence, she submitted a representation before the respondent seeking a share in the family pension given to the second wife of her father. The Writ Petition is devoid of merits as the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be considered and the same is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
